I miss the way the night comes. with friends who always make it feel good.

i am Dying to get back to LA.   we are going from July 5-10th and i can barely wait.

Bastian will probably be trying on everyone’s shoes.

We got a new car yesterday.  It’s a Honda CR-V and i really like it.

that’s about it i guess.

Easter weekend was the best in a looong time.  Work has been really great, and i love those little delinquents i work with.  It’s so nice to like a job again, because i hated both of them in LA.  On Friday i had to work, but i only work until 1:30 on Fridays so it was ok.  When i got home Christine and cutie pie Sawyer were already at Erin’s and came right over.  Erin came with Nicky too, of course.  A short time later Chad got home with Bastian and then Amy and Brendan came with Noah and Ronan.  Needless to say, it was crazy, and loud, and just the way i like it.

Chad and i had a great late-night talk with Christine.  The kind you have in college when you’re wasted, but feeling philosophical.

so then saturday came, and i had a great day of Shopping.  Which i have been doing entirely too much of.

We are still house-hunting, or whatever the more mild term would be since we don’t want to actually buy until next year.

I want a new car.

I love Dove’s Cucumber and Green Tea body wash.

And i buy fresh flowers every week now.

hmm.

ok, so then Easter.  that morning was the best morning in ages.  Chad got up early. what? what?!

me chad and bastian all hung out, went for a walk, drove around and all that.

then we went to my parents house for dinner.  we had an egg hunt with Bastian, Aidan and James.

James recently started telling me he loves me and hugging me.  And that totally warms my heart because he used to be so indifferent, or avoid me.

He also plays Let’s Dance on Wii and knows the Hey ya dance perfectly.

I’m sitting here at my new MAC with a HUUUUUUGE screen listening to Dance Yrself Clean- one of my biggest jams of the year (LCD Soundsystem).
Oh and tomorrow morning we are leaving for Jamaica for a week. So i have to say that i am one lucky duck right now.

instead of trying to update the past few months- i’m just going to start from last weekend.

we went to visit paul again in east hampton.  paul has been on a cooking tear and we had a very domesticated weekend.  first we went to dinner at the place he used to work.

then i went to bed pretty much as soon as we got home.

the next day, we went to feed the ducks.

chad kept trying to feed the swan because he thought he looked regal. haha

Bastian is a total water baby and mostly we were taking turns struggling to keep him from getting in the water.

btw, it was Freezing up there.

he has always been afraid of dogs till now.  he was bossing maxwell all around.

next week is his 1st b-day and i’m so excited.

we gave him his gift early (mainly because i wanted to set it up to make sure it worked and had enough balls)

i completely wasted my night-to-myself last night.

Chad wanted to go see a movie, so i got Bastian in bed and was just about to have a glass of wine and watch a movie when i saw a spider.  normally i don’t mind spiders because i think of them as protectors who kill other bugs, but i noticed it was all brown and i started to worry that it was a Brown Recluse spider which definitely live in NJ and i worried that it could bite Bastian.

i didn’t want to kill it right off the bat, so i decided to look BRSs up on google images to check.  i couldn’t tell though!

so i decided to look up All of the spiders that are found in NJ, but instead a list of all-brown NJ insects came up (84).

after peeling through that for a good 1/2 hour- while running back and forth to look at the spider in my kitchen and the spiders on the computer (it’s a lap top, but i didn’t want to be sitting right next to the thing during my research) I just couldn’t tell.

so i decided to err on the side of caution and kill it.

by then end of the all of that, i was exhausted and just went to bed.

Fun, fun, fun.

LA!!!!!!!!

2 weeks ago we went to LA.  it’s been almost a full year since we left and i didn’t realize how much i missed it until we were back.

it was SO good to see everyone and to introduce them to Bastian.

we stayed with Mike and i told Chad that i could have moved right in there.  his place was great, and Joanie from Mad Men lives in his building.  Chad was on the lookout for her all week, and right before we left for the airport we saw her.  She looked so pretty too, maybe just came from set?

we also spent a lot of time watching the world cup games.. mostly at La Poubelle

my parents were in town too because my cousin’s wedding was happening the same week just south of LA.  my aunt and uncle were there too, so we took them all out to the farmer’s market and had a nice dinner at monsieur marcel.
